At SkyFi, we're on a mission to easify your access to Earth observation data. Today, we are excited to announce a major enhancement to our platform that will take your ability to customize your area of interest (AOI). After several user requests, we are excited to introduce the ability to upload, draw, and download custom areas of interest! This feature opens up a world of possibilities, allowing you to precisely define your area of interest in the way that suits your needs best.

Upload AOIs In KMZ, KML, or Shapefile Formats

With the new custom AOI feature, you are no longer confined to the limitations of rectangular selections. You have the flexibility to upload AOIs in KMZ, KML, or shapefile formats, which means you can more easily integrate SkyFi into your ongoing projects.

Draw Your Vision

In addition to uploading custom AOIs, we are also introducing a powerful drawing tool that allows you to create custom AOIs directly within our web and mobile apps. This allows you to minimize the excess data and capture exactly what you need.

Streamlined Workflow: Download Your Custom AOIs with Ease

We understand that access to your custom AOIs is crucial for your workflow. That is why we have made it incredibly easy to download the AOIs you create or upload. Once you have defined your area of interest, simply click the download button in My Areas to get access to a compatible shapefile.
