I started off in the military—I was in the reserves with the Marine Corps and initially thought I would go into law as a Jag officer. But I quickly realized that wasn’t for me. I taught myself software engineering and got into project management and customer success roles over the years. I’ve worked in tech, education, and now aerospace, which is really exciting because I’m constantly learning something new.
I love that SkyFi is such a technical product, especially on the intelligence and defense side. Growing up, my father worked in aerospace, so I’ve always had an interest in the industry. Being able to work in a company that aligns with my background in defense and allows me to give back to the country is something I’m really passionate about. Plus, there’s always something new to learn with satellites, analytics, and imagery, and that’s what keeps it exciting.
I care a lot about team cohesion. The closer I am to the people I work with, the more motivated I am. Customer success is great because I get to interact with clients and internal teams, like engineers, marketing, and product people. It’s fun to ask the same question to different people and get completely different perspectives. That’s what drives me—collaboration and understanding people’s viewpoints.
I’m really into chess. It’s something I like to play to de-stress before meetings or just for fun. I’ve been playing a lot of blitz games recently—short three-minute matches that help keep my mind sharp.
Definitely Japan. It’s my dream vacation destination, and I’ve always been fascinated by it, especially the contrast between its bustling cities and beautiful mountain ranges. A satellite image of Japan would be incredible to see.
