AUSTIN, Texas and MUNICH, Oct. 27, 2026 -- SkyFi, an AI-first Earth intelligence platform, today announced the integration of constellr, a provider of thermal satellite intelligence. SkyFi customers can now task constellr's HiVE satellites to capture calibrated surface temperature data anywhere on Earth.
Thermal sensors measure the heat that surfaces emit. constellar converts each capture into an absolute surface temperature, accurate to within 1 to 2 kelvin. With consistent measurements, analysts can compare one capture with the next and use change over time as the signal.
“Many of the questions our customers ask come down to understanding what’s changing on the ground,” said Luke Fischer, CEO of SkyFi. “Has thermal activity at an industrial site changed? Is a city getting hotter? Has a wildfire ignited, or been contained? constellr’s surface temperature measurements help customers investigate those questions across wide areas. With Constellr, SkyFi now offers thermal imagery from two providers, giving customers a choice between wide-area temperature measurement and finer site-level detail, depending on the question they need answered.”
"SkyFi puts our thermal data in front of commercial and government users who make decisions on short timelines," said Christian Mittermaier, co-founder and CCO of constellr "Calibrated temperature is most useful when it is easy to order and easy to combine with other data. SkyFi makes both possible."
New tasking: Schedule captures over any area of interest, priced per 15 x 15 km scene (225 km²).
Day and night imaging: Capture data at either time of day, every 1.5 to 3 days.
10-meter sharpening: Add an optional 10-meter sharpened output derived from native 30-meter thermal imagery.
Visible and near-infrared imagery: Included with each capture at no extra cost, where available.
Fast delivery: constellr supports rapid access to thermal satellite imagery, with delivery within 24 hours of acquisition.
Flexible access: Order through SkyFi's web platform, native AI Navigator, mobile app, API, or the SkyFi MCP from AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT.
Maritime security: Monitor thermal activity at ports and coastal infrastructure alongside optical and SAR imagery.
Industrial monitoring: Track thermal patterns at LNG plants, refineries, and other industrial facilities to support assessments of operational activity.
Damage and disaster assessment: Verify conditions on the ground when reports conflict, and track active wildfires.
Urban heat and agriculture: Map heat across cities and monitor crop stress and water use.
Constellr expands SkyFi's thermal catalog, which now includes two providers. Customers can order calibrated, wide-area temperature data or higher-resolution thermal imagery of individual sites from one platform. Thermal joins the optical, SAR, hyperspectral, and stereo imagery SkyFi offers from more than 300 satellite and aerial sources.
constellr operates two HiVE satellites, launched in January and June 2025. A third satellite, planned for February 2027 will increase revisit to more than once per day.
constellr imagery is available today on SkyFi with published pricing and no long-term contract. Learn more and order at app.skyfi.com.
